## About this trip

Embark on a soul-stirring trip to Kochi and Alleppey, where culture, backwaters and coastal charm come together in perfect harmony. This curated Kerala escape from Bangalore invites you to stroll through the vibrant streets of Fort Kochi, take in colonial-era architecture and artistic corners, and glide through the serene Alleppey backwaters on a traditional shikara, surrounded by palm-fringed canals and paddy fields. Known as the Venice of the East, Alleppey offers more than its scenic waterways: it is a place of timeless traditions, soulful sunsets and the soothing rhythm of Kerala's laid-back life.

We leave Bangalore on Friday night at 8:30 PM for a 12-hour overnight drive and reach Kochi by morning. Day 1 covers the spice-scented lanes of Jew Town and Mattancherry, café hopping in Fort Kochi, a seaside walk past the Chinese fishing nets, sunset at Marine Drive and an evening harbour cruise past the lit-up skyline, with Kochi's dining scene and nightlife to round off the night. Day 2 starts with breakfast and check-out before a coastal drive to Marari Beach, a traditional toddy-tasting stop with spicy local bites, and a shikara ride through Alleppey's narrow canals, after which we start the drive back to Bangalore, reaching early next morning.

Stay is on a triple-sharing basis in Kochi with breakfast on Day 2 included. Other meals, the shikara ride, the harbour cruise boat entry and entry charges at the sights are self-sponsored.

## FAQs

### What should I carry?

Soft copy of your Aadhaar card, cargo or track pants and shorts, T-shirts, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, two water bottles, cap and sunglasses, a personal medical kit, flip-flops for the beach, polybags for wet clothes, extra cash for meals not included in the itinerary, a power bank, a small backpack for the day, and most importantly your sense of humour and spirit of adventure.

### What is the check-in policy and how strictly is the daily timeline followed?

Activity & daily timeline: the hourly schedule is tentative and designed to give you the best experience. The order of places visited or the timings may change because of weather, traffic, local government restrictions or road conditions.
Early check-in: standard check-in times apply as per the hotel's policy, and early check-in is strictly subject to room availability on arrival. Where it isn't available, common washrooms and freshen-up areas will be provided so you can get ready for the day's plan without delay.

### Is it safe to travel with strangers?

Safety is built into everything we do. Every member completes ID verification before joining. Our community review system means travellers build reputation through completed trips. Plus, tribes typically form through chat and video calls before any trip happens, so by the time you meet, they're not really strangers anymore.

### How does GoWeekender match travellers?

Our Vibe Check algorithm goes beyond basic preferences. We analyse your travel pace (relaxed explorer vs packed itinerary), adventure appetite (chill vibes vs adrenaline junkie), budget comfort zone, and interests like photography, street food or trekking. The result? You get matched with travellers who genuinely get you, not just people heading to the same place.

### What are the terms and conditions?

We reserve the right to rearrange the itinerary to suit availability without changing the total number of days or compromising on any service.
All guests must carry a government-issued ID card.
Confirmation of physical and mental health is required before starting any tour with us.
No refund will be provided for problems due to government orders, harsh weather, protests, landslides or other unforeseen circumstances.
