## About this trip

Hidden in Kerala's Malabar region along the Western Ghats, Wayanad is a lush, sparsely populated haven of misty hills, winding streams, sprawling tea estates and wildlife-rich forests. Known as the 'Spice Garden of India', the air here carries the aroma of cardamom, black pepper, star anise and cumin.

This action-packed 2-day, 1-night getaway from Bangalore packs in the best of Wayanad: a morning at the Soochipara Waterfalls, Kerala's longest zipline with giant swing, sky cycling and ATV rides beside a tea plantation, an off-road jeep ride up to the 900 Kandi Glass Bridge for sweeping mountain views, and an evening of bonfire, music and stargazing at a campsite or roomstay. Day 2 takes you to the Banasura Sagar Dam, India's largest earthen dam, for boating and kayaking against the Western Ghats, followed by a century-old wooden Tea Museum, spice shopping and live banana-chip making before the scenic drive home through the Bandipur forest stretch.

Travel by AC Tempo Traveller, stay on a sharing basis in tents or rooms with modern amenities, and enjoy breakfast on both days and dinner on Day 1. Lunch is self-sponsored. Perfect for friends, solo travellers and anyone who wants a quick reset in the hills.
