The trip
Coorg sits under an ever-present layer of cloud, its low hills wrapped in coffee plantations, just about 270 km from Bangalore. This getaway starts there with a bumpy 4x4 jeep ride up to Mandalpatti, one of the highest points in Karnataka, followed by Abbey Falls and its hanging bridge, Coorg's most famous sunset from Raja's Seat, a spice-and-coffee shopping stop in Madikeri and a campfire night at a homestay in the hills.
The second half crosses into Wayanad, Kerala's forest-covered corner of the Western Ghats known as the Spice Garden of India. Hike through jungle and coffee estates to Irupu Falls, catch the Wayanad sunset, sleep in tents under the stars, then take on the 900 Kandi trail with its glass bridge that juts out over the valley, cool off in fresh mountain water and fly down the region's longest zipline before the overnight coach back to Bangalore.

Is it safe to travel with strangers?
Safety is built into everything we do. Every member completes ID verification before joining. Our community review system means travellers build reputation through completed trips. Plus, tribes typically form through chat and video calls before any trip happens, so by the time you meet, they're not really strangers anymore.
How does GoWeekender match travellers?
Our Vibe Check algorithm goes beyond basic preferences. We analyse your travel pace (relaxed explorer vs packed itinerary), adventure appetite (chill vibes vs adrenaline junkie), budget comfort zone, and interests like photography, street food, or trekking. The result? You get matched with travellers who genuinely get you, not just people heading to the same place.
