Absolutely. GoWeekender works two ways. You can browse trips with tribes that are already forming and join one that matches your dates and vibe, or you can start your own adventure from scratch — set the destination, dates, and budget, and let our matching system surface compatible, verified travellers to fill it out. Creating a trip does not mean planning it alone, either: once your tribe forms, itinerary-building, cost-splitting, and group chat all happen in the app, so the work is shared. Whether you lead or join, the goal is the same — you set the vibe, and we help you find your people.

Tribes usually range from 3 to 15 travellers. That range is deliberate: small enough that everyone actually knows each other by the end and the group stays flexible, but large enough to unlock real cost savings on stays, transport, and activities. Most trips settle into the 6-to-10 sweet spot, which balances affordability with the ease of agreeing on a plan. You can also cap your tribe smaller if you prefer a tighter group — a couple looking for one more couple, say, or four friends wanting two extra people. The right size depends on the trip, and you stay in control of it.

We're in early-access mode right now, onboarding founding members from our waitlist in batches rather than opening to everyone at once — it keeps the early community high-quality and lets us get matching right.
